A Must Visit to Appreciate
Well, I was finally able to get hubby out for one of my New Home neighborhood field trips this past weekend and the weather was simply gorgeous. …He is normally not very excited about these excursions of mine, but when I mentioned Ross Bridge, the golfer in him piped up and said, “About Time”. …Long story short; We simply had a great time exploring all the neighborhoods and touring all the open New Home models we could find.
Ross Bridge – What’s it All About?
Ross Bridge is a master planned community implementing Traditional Neighborhood Designs (TND), or should I say Neo-Traditional, a take back to an era when the community was at the heart of family life. Thus the Ross Bridge Village Center is a walk-able neighborhood with shopping, services, restaurants, and entertainment. Ross Bridge has thus become one of Alabama’s hottest selling new home communities, definitely a must see if you are in the market on the buying side.
Ross Bridge – Amenities
At the heart of Ross Bridge is of course the world class Robert Trent Jones Trail Golf Course and the Marriott Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa. The Ross Bridge community is like mixing the neighborhoods of Mt Laurel or Village of Providence with Hampton Cove, another rather large, but older, Alabama Robert Trent Jones golfing community. It’s no wonder why Ross Bridge was voted the Best Community in America by the National Association of Home Builders in 2010.
However besides hosting the world’s 3rd longest golf course at 8,191 yards, Ross Bridge is marked by stunningly grand views of the adjoining hillsides, along with other amenities such as Ross Park, miles of hiking and bike trails, and a breathtaking clubhouse and swimming pool. Thus its not surprising that Golf Digest magazine ranks Ross Bridge in its list of 75 of the Best North American Golf Resorts, along side the likes of The Ritz-Carlton, The Four Seasons, and Pebble Beach. Truly you must get out for a personal tour if you have yet to visit!
Ross Bridge – Neighborhoods
Choice of Builder
One thing to keep in mind is that some of the finest local Birmingham builders have new homes for sale across a number of the Ross Bridge neighborhoods. New homes from the likes of Signature Homes, Daniel Homes, and Ingram & Associates are common place.
Variety of Neighborhoods
Ross Bridge is not a single neighborhood or subdivision, it is a community or collection of neighborhoods that share common areas and amenities. It is a rather large development and not all neighborhoods are walkable to the Village Center. Thus there is a diverse selection of property types ranging from town-homes, single family residences, custom built, as well as estate homes. The new homes for sale in Ross Bridge, thus range in price from the low $200′s to well over $1-million dollars.
Some of the more popular Ross Bridge neighborhoods where these local home builders are active include Abbeyglen , Bellevue , Butler Springs , Chalybe , Glasscott , Grand Avenue , Haddon , James Hill , and the Village Center.
